Happenings Lately.....

Y'all.....I'm so bummed. (OK...first of all, I know I'm Canadian, but living in the South  now for 5 years I have totally picked up saying y'all. Not all the time, but its really a great word. I fought saying it for a loooong time, but now I'm totally embracing it y'all! But don't worry...I'll still  throw in a couple of eh?s for ya too:) Anyways...back to why I'm bummed. The temporary computer I was working on has now joined my other desktop in computer heaven. Boo. BIG boo. And not the funny kind of Halloween boo either. The giant heaving sobs and "why me?!" kind of boo. That's why you have been hearing crickets on the blog over the last week. I barely squeezed in my contributor post over at Kayla Aimee before the ole Dell permanently shut down, so I'm thankful for that! (It's going live tomorrow btw, so check back for a peak at what I created!) In the meantime, untill we get the new computer ordered and set up, I'm trying to learn how to blog on my iPad which is NOT an easy task by any means. Any of you ever blog on the iPad?! I'm open for any tips you may have!

So in the meantime, I can share some photos with my phone so you can see what I've been up to, and I will be posting some re-runs on Facebook of some off my fun fall and Halloween posts from last year. 

Last weekend the hubs was away, so I headed to the antique show with the kiddos in tow and came home with 2 great finds. The first was a pair of solid teak chairs I snagged for $30. I fell in love with the circular design on the backs! I'm thinking painting them a soft white and re-finishing the seats with some fun fabric....maybe even a grey or blue velvet. 

Or this West Elm fabric I snagged from an online sale.

 Loving these sooooo much! Can't wait to get started on these!!

I also grabbed this vintage 1950's globe. The only reason I bought it was because it had this really cool base. I've never seen one like this before! It's really industrial looking and has found a new home on top of my TV unit.

I've also been busy purging my fabric stash and decided to make some fun pillow covers that I will be selling on the blog, so stay tuned for that fun sale! 
 

The kitchen update plans are slowly underway. I decided to bite the bullet and buy a rug for under the table. I picked up this square indoor/outdoor rug from Joss & Main. It's the perfect size and the best part is I can take it outside and hose it off when the kids spill something in it, which mark my words...it WILL happen. 

 I finally did something with the crazy amount if wine corks I had laying around.......

 And I can't forget to mention that I reached 1000 Pinterest followers. You guys:)) Big heart smiles all around! I'm truly greatfull that y'all want to follow me and bring me into your lives and look at pretty pins with me:) I can't thank you enough. Pretty cool, eh?!

One last question.....what type of computer do you use? Mac? PC? Do yo love it? Hate it? I need advise!! We've always had PC's and now that we are starting from scratch I want to explore other options. All other devises are Apple, so is it worth it to switch to all Apple products? Let me know your thoughts! Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Hopefully we will get it all sorted out and be up and running again in the nex few weeks. I hope you will stick around and put up with the iPad blogging for now!
