TRENDY TUESDAY ~ CONTRASTING TRIM
Painting trim a crisp white really makes it stand out against a contrasting wall color, but with the white wall trend that has been ongoing over the past few years, trim painted the same color tends to blend in with the background, taking a backseat to the other design elements in the room.
But there's been a shift lately, and instead of adding color back into the wall paint, designers have been opting to add contrast by painting the trim work a deeper shade, making the architectural millwork take center stage again. Take a look at these inspiring spaces, all with different shades of contrasting trim paint, ranging form soft grays (my favorite) to black.
